Awesome disc and plastic Review by Clint
Quality Value Price Service I don't think I have ever thrown a Leopard but I wanted to try this plastic. As a lefty I prefer straight flying discs and this disc is that to a T.
The new plastic is grippy without being sticky.. So far the plastic seems to be durable as well. I hit some trees hard and the disc doesn't show any wear. This has a solid place in my bag.. I hope the production runs are just like these test runs. (Posted on 1/28/2014) -
Flies good very flexy Review by J.S.
Quality Value Price Service The plastic does have a great feel in terms of grip. It is borderline floppy in my opinion but nothing crazy. If you're thinking it'll be just a "touch" softer than star plastic, you'd be wrong. It is super gummy.
But beyond that plastic feel, this disc flies great and hasn't worn in at all yet even after hitting a few trees. It's a nice stable leopard and always finishes straight if thrown with a little pop. If you really pull on it, it obviously turns- but nothing drastic. I'd say out of the box it has similar stability to a star leopard; which is a bit less stable than a champ leopard. Great addition to Innova plastic line Review by Kyle
Quality Value Price Service The gstar material definitely has significantly more grip than standard star which is a great bonus in colder areas. It is also much gummier than normal star which I like - but I also feel like it could become too floppy in the summer. That said the plastic looks awesome! I really like the pearly metallic look! Stability wise I found it similar to standard star. Less stable than champion plastic for sure. Regardless, there is nothing else like it in Innova's lineup and I think an added grip plastic like this is great. I really hope these go into full production (Posted on 1/11/2014)

Not bad at all. Review by WestFin #35852
Quality Value Price Service My review is based on throwing this disc in the harsh conditions of a Wisconsin winter. The plastic feels great and stays grippy and flexible, even in single digit temperatures. I'm sure it's much more flexible in higher temps, but I'll have to wait 3-4 more months to see. I throw champ Leopards and this GStar Leopard is slightly more stable than those. It's still a Leopard though, so it will flip, but how much flip will depend on your arm speed and angle of release. Overall, I personally like this plastic and would love to see Teebirds and Eagle X & L's.
One of the things I like most about this Leopard is that it is flat, and I can only hope Innova doesn't start making them domey once the production run is released. That's my 2 cents. (Posted on 1/3/2014) -
Gotta love the grip Review by jthacker48
Quality Value Price Service I was one of the lucky one's to get my hands on the brand new GStar Leopards. In all honesty, I did not care what model the disc was. I just wanted to get my hands on the new material.
I've now played several rounds with this disc in my arsenal. I, absolutely, love the feel of this disc. The grip is almost tacky feeling. It's soft too. Initially, I was a little worried that the disc wouldn't stand up to the test of time. With that said, I've hit some trees solidly with no visible marks on the disc. Only time will tell the actual durability of the disc though. The material maintains it's grip when wet. I have pulled the disc out of water and played on grass that was recently watered. The disc still allows you to get a good grip.
As far as the model and flight comparison, it is hard for me to say. I haven't used a Leopard in a long time prior to this. I had stopped using Leopard's due to them being too flippy. This disc is not flippy. It's a straight flyer that holds the line I put it on. I can use as much power and torque as I want and this disc will absorb it without turning over as long as I release it flat.
I love this disc and can't wait to get my hands on the next models in this plastic. (Posted on 12/30/2013)
