Great finesse disc. Review by Dan Dan
Quality Value Price Service Been looking for a straight shooting mid with little fade for quite some time ; and have found just that in the hammer. It handles anything from short drives to long runs at the basket. If I am not in the basket I am settled close. After reading previous reviews I am excited to try out different shots with it. Close to my XD Review by Michael
Quality Value Price Service I LOVE DX discs and this is no exception. Flies great. Almost as good as my XD that I have had for 20 years. Super for just about any approach shot, and it's not a bad putter either. My son loves it too. In fact, he usually grabs it first. (Posted on 6/19/2014)

hammer Review by Waylin
Price Value Quality The Hammer has saved me more strokes and made more jaws drop than any other disc I've ever had, throwing it hammer style. I've got one from the mid 90's, and bought 2 of these for replacements. I agree with Ryan completely. Great for get out of the crap shots. In the woods, hammer it out of the crap and watch it land face down and slide under the basket. Yep, I just turned that bad drive into another par. ;-) (Posted on 11/9/2012)

Hammertime Review by Spindoctor
Price Value Quality I too have been using the second run hammers to putt and approach since the early 90's also, now without the fear of breaking my putters without a replacement i can again drive short holes & upshots very accurately & with finesse old school style. Thank u And yes a more stable plastic version would be an awesome addition to my bag. Stick your 50 dollar hammers up your cornhole i just want to throw it. (Posted on 5/4/2012)

Hammer time...again! Review by Miniac
Price Value Quality I have been a raving fan of the Hammer since the 2nd run, back in around 1991. I find it to be an incredibly dependable and versatile finesse approach disc that has saved more pars, earned more short birdies and racked up more short ACEs than any other disc in my bag...possibly combined. Whether it be with a backhand, sidearm (flick), hooked thumb or...yes..."Hammer" throw, this disc doesn't know the meaning of 'squirrelly'. I pleaded with Innova for YEARS to bring this model back into play and I'm ecstatic that I won't have to pay $50 or more for a collector's item so that I'll be able to once again, count on getting up and down from wherever using whichever throw I choose. Now... if only I had few in CE plastic... (Posted on 3/22/2012)

Great Straight approach disc Review by Stephen
Quality Price Value I love this disc for straight approach shots. More stable then an aviar, you can throw straight at the target and it will travel with zero fade. (Posted on 3/6/2012)

Amazing versatility Review by Ryan
Price Value Quality This disc is my get-out-of-jail-free card. It flies like an Aviar P&A (just a little bit overstable), but it feels like an XD in your hand. This means it's not always a throw-straight-at-the-hole disc like the XD, but it also doesn't occasionally veer right on you like an XD will if you crank it slightly too hard. It's consistent on the approach even when I'm balancing on one foot in the middle of a blackberry thicket. But the real reason this disc gets me out of sticky situations (and this will sound silly) is that the Hammer is amazing for hammers. It's not a fastball pitch like throwing a Firebird hammer; it's more of a finesse angled shot like throwing an ultimate disc. You're not going to put it out there 400', but it's impressively accurate and predictable. I've thrown it 150' half-blind and surrounded by 10' bushes and had it bounce off the chains.
