Details

The FL is the same as the Pro Firebird-L only in Champion plastic. The FL is designed to have more glide and less fade at the end of the flight than a traditional Firebird. Now you can get the flight and grip of Pro Firebird with the durability of Star plastic. The FL is an excellent driver for windy days as well as sidearm throws. The FL is a great first step into the world of overstable drivers.

Similar to the firebird for sure but mine has a much larger dome than that of my firebird. This adds glide and lift which makes it more useful for turnovers than the original firebird (Posted on 8/2/2017)

If I had the opportunity to design the ultimate workhorse control driver, this would be the outcome. You can rip the snot out of these and they'll hold and won't sail past your mark, either. Excellent forehand disc, as well, and this gummy champ plastic is the biz. Be warned, though, some mold up practically as stable as regular birds. I usually throw star FL's but this champion feels so good in the hand. My champion was firm and has a slightly more OS flight but seems to have more glide somehow and control. (Posted on 5/12/2014)

It has stayed in my bag from the very first throw. Perfect placement shot disc for a strong side arm or back arm. I play at a course that you could expect high winds year round. The wind can't even phase it. Very reliable over-stable in the Champion plastic. (Posted on 8/20/2013)
