like most people, i thought the nova looked cool and mcbeth throws it a ton, so i figured i'd get one with some rewards points...man, do i wish i'd put this disc in my bag sooner! holds any line: hyzer, anny, flex, whatever you need. let your creativity run wild! it stops on a dime, even on downhill, fast greens. it has a deep rim, which is perfect for my fan grip. i have small hands, but haven't had any grip issues at all with this disc. lastly, it really is an awesome diagnostic disk: if you're flipping this thing, it's your form, not the disc, and you can make adjustments based on what the nova does out of your hand. get one, support paul and innova, and play with confidence in your short game! The 2 reasons why i got this disc were
    1. Paul is my favourite player and role model
    2. He said its a pure line approach or drive disc .. and he wasn't kidding ! ever since i got this disc my approaches have been so much easier . you can throw it for hyzers , dead straight shots , or anhyzers . anything really and it'll just hold that line . i would highly recommend this disc to anyone (Posted on 12/25/2015)

I was very picky about what it wanted in a putter; I wanted the flight path of a Classic Aviar (2,3,0,0) with the most chain grip I could get. As far as I can tell, this is as good as it gets.

In my experience, both Gstar putters and Vibram brand discs offer better grip for chains but they have the drawback of having a floppy flight plate that doesn't allow for a confident 'finger pop' that most people use in their putting. By nature of the 2-material over-mold this disc offers the benefit of having a sufficiently grippy rim while offering a stiff flight plate.

Reviews on other sites hinted that the Nova is too deep and breaks in too fast. I only use this disc for pure putting so I can't speak to the break in period. As for the depth: it is deeper than a typical putter (noticeably deeper than the Classic Aviar but not annoyingly deep), but no where as deep or as domey as the PDGA measurements imply. With adult, male hands and sufficient practice, I have had no problem transitioning to putting with this.

Overall its a great disc. Its probably not worth $17 but some of that goes to support McBeast and you have the options of spending reward points so it doesn't end up that bad. (Posted on 11/30/2015)
