The Max is a fast, overstable power driver with significant glide. A great distance disc for strong headwinds and sidearm throwers.

Description

Details

The Max is a fast stable driver. It is much like a faster Firebird or Monster. It is a great disc for forehand drives. Backhand throwers can use it for anhyzer flex shots and spike hyzer throws. The Max is predictable and dependable into the wind. The Max is designed for more experienced players with powerful backhands or sidearm throwers.

  1. Overstable Right Angle Fader Review by Jeff

I love my Max! It hangs hard around corners, and when you throw the low burner shots it skips even harder towards the fade. As it breaks in the awesomely insane overstability mellows into basically a speed 11 banshee, on long approaches it takes two skips and sticks on low shots, or spikes and sticks on high approach shots. It seems like every time I have a throw and someone asks "What WAS that?" I get to smile and say "The Max." Definitely not a beginner disc, but still a very very useful tool (Posted on 9/16/2016)

The Max is a staple in my bag. Super consistent OS finish for forehand and backhand. Sad that it was discontinued but thankfully they still have it here! (Posted on 8/28/2016)

This disc is amazing. Extremely consistent and very overstable. I use it for reliable high speed skip shots and wrap around mandos. Definitely recommend. Plus my name is max so..... (Posted on 1/21/2016)

  4. SERIOUSLY overstable driver Review by Collin

I consider my Star Monster to fly like a Star Firebird +. This Max flies like a Star Monster +. In other words, it's significantly more overstable than even a Star Firebird. I personally love this disc, but I would suggest that it only has value to high power players. I drive forehand more than backhand (competent in both) and can get my forehand out well past 400' with the right driver, but this thing is never going to go too much past 300' without fading hard into the ground (and that's throwing it with a fair amount of anhyzer to keep it afloat longer). For specific shots, this is the best driver in my bag, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you can throw at least pretty darn far and hard. If you can handle this disc, you'll love it. If you're a beginner, you'll hate it. Simple as that. (Posted on 7/1/2015)
