Yeti Test Configuration

$13.99

In stock

This is an alternate configuration of the Yeti Aviar in a firmer R-Pro. This particular R-Pro is much firmer and scuff resistant than any other R-Pro we have offered to date. The feel falls in between KC Pro and Yeti Pro materials. Firmer than R-Pro while remaining incredibly tacky.

I used the 4x production yeti for a long time but never clicked with the low speed fade of the disc. This test run has less low speed fade and fantastic grip and durability. It is also a great driving putter which holds a laser beam line.
I do hope Innova runs another batch of these as I could use some more max weight and mid weight yeti's in blue and pink... wink, wink! (Posted on 7/10/2016)

Everything I love about the Yeti with a better grip. Cuts a great line and grabs the chains. Best Yeti yet. (Posted on 4/15/2016)

I like this version of the Yeti Pro Aviar. It is softer than my 4x yeti pros which make it great for longer putts. I got a light blue one that is really swirly which was an added plus. (Posted on 1/1/2016)

I own just about every aviar out there. I must say, I love the grip of this disc. Its a putter that goes where you put so it tell you when you are off the mark. Will be buying a few more of these guys for sure!! (Posted on 8/19/2015)

I have to say this is the best putter I've ever used. When I bought my first one I got my first Ace within the first two weeks of having it. I'm here to buy more since I had to retire the ACE disc (Posted on 2/13/2015)

  6. A better Yeti Review by Tom

Glad that these are still around. After trying 7 different putter molds, I found the regular softer yeti at a local store and loved it. Saw these and took a chance. Initially I intended to use these off the tee and on upshots; They provide a very consistent flight with minimal fade and good glide. But I kept finding myself putting with the test configuration. I just ordered 2 more to cycle through.
Durability is also better than most. My first two rounds were on two unfamiliar courses. The Yeti hit at least 10 trees and ended up hitting rocks and found the creek a couple times. I must have thrown it 30 times and used it for putting. The disc still looked new after all this abuse. I've had other putters gouge really bad on one missed putt. (Posted on 2/3/2015)

  7. A straighter less overstable yeti Review by Warren

I really enjoy this Yeti test configuration. This putter has helped me get a lot of birdies. It is quite a bit straighter and less fade than the regular yeti. I love the grip of this plastic. This configuration should be put into production. It seems like this putter goes straight just a little bit longer than the regular yeti. I have 3 in case they become unavailable. 8. Best feeling Aviar ever! Review by William

The Yeti test run is made of a very rubbery blend of pro plastic. The surface texture is grippy like a latex glove or a birthday balloon and squeaks similarly when rubbed. The plastic blend results in the rim being fairly rigid, almost like a KC Pro aviar, while the flight plate is extremely flexible, giving a great tactile feel between thumb and fingers.

In flight, this disc is an Aviar driver. It flies straight with very little turn, great glide and a strong fade. I want to compare it to the new Omega Big Bead A&P to see if they didn't decide to go ahead and run this blend of plastic because it's too nice to let go by the wayside. (Posted on 6/2/2013)

  9. Not a Yeti for my bag Review by KG

After trying a Yeti for the first time I was hooked. I thought this might be one for longer putts or turnover drives/approaches. Although this configuration is only slightly different it just doesn't have the Yeti feel that I've come to love. Slight nose change and a hair shallower makes it sit differently in the hand, so I don't have confidence in using it for putts. It is however a little better for straight-no fade approaches and turnover drives. (Posted on 12/17/2012)
