The Gazelle is great overall disc for players of all skill levels because of its versatility and control. It is a dependable driver that has long straight flight with a predictable fade at the end. The Gazelle works well in headwind conditions for both long and medium range shots. It has a narrow rim that is easy for smaller hands to grip.

I got a green gstar 171 gram weight to preserve what I love about the Gazelle in the softer grippier gstar plastic. One of my swiss army discs for the 150 - 225 foot range that I fell in love with right away as part of my first dx plastic 5 piece kit. I now have multiple DX's in a few weights getting beat in. And I foresee myself ordering the Gazelle in all of its plastics and across the weight range.
The softness of the gstar probably places it at a recently broken in dx plastic for how it wants to behave. Regardless the plastic. it is one my favorites for gentler, but tricky tunnel type shots, and it is a trooper in most wind conditions.
The Gazelle (for my arm strength) will mostly behave the way I want it to for back hand shots, and many forearm shots as well, and it can hold the line I give it to work on, and turn over pretty much right where I need it, and it has been the cause of many happy moments where it has parked itself.

I've been throwing the gazelle for years and honestly it works wonders on the wooded courses of the Carolinas.
Release with a slight hyzer and she will flip and fly straight and far with great glide and predictable fade at the end. Already smashed some trees off the tee box and these discs show no signs of damage! (Posted on 6/5/2016)

Update to my last review... I've had this in my bag for nearly a year and it's gradually become my go-to fairway driver. For any shot under 400' that requires a pretty stable flight, this seems to be what I reach for. My arm has gotten pretty big with a backhand (max distance is now 496' on flat ground), and I've gotten this out as far as 430'-440'. People don't believe me when I say it's a 6 speed based on how far it flies. Now that mine is pretty beat in, it'll turn over gently for a long time on a flat release before finishing moderately left. It doesn't have a huge fade and just glides super, super well, way better than the 4 rating would indicate. To me, this plays more like 6,5,0,2 than 6,4,0,2. Glad to have finally ordered another for my bag, along with my beat gstar and pretty new champ. (Posted on 4/23/2016)

  4. Decent enough disc, but something I never find myself reaching for Review by Collin

This is a fairly predictable disc and something that generally does what it's supposed to do, but I honestly just don't find myself reaching for it very often. Perhaps it's just that I'm more into star plastic than Gstar at this point, but I just haven't yet managed to get myself super into this disc. Still, it has a specific role in my bag, so I'm keeping it in there for now and I'll keep trying it. Worst case, I'll switch it out for an F2 Star Gazelle. (Posted on 7/1/2015)

  5. Finally a durrable gazelle Review by Matthew

I owned a kc pro gazelle when I first started playing, I loved it. Then I accidentally threw it in the river. Since then I've used a cheetah and a leopard both of which I flip far too often off a tee shot. I found this and was ecstatic remembering how I used to love it.
    This thing is beautiful.
First round out I hit chains on the first tee shot I use it on, great sign of things to come I think. Next time I tee it off I overshoot the hole by about 40 ft, no big deal relearning a disc after all and its a hole I can drive with my spider. It was my 3rd tee shot that made me sold on gstar material. There is a pump house on the course, with pebbled siding. Of course I over torqued the disc and skipped it right off the pebbles. I was crushed, I've done this before with every other plastic. Star, pro, dx all take noticeable damage on the rim from hitting it. Champion will show scuffs but no damage. The gazelle, not even a scratch on her, and it hit hard.
Even though yes the are a bit more flippy than other plastics their grip is superb, they look great and they are hands down the most durable disc I've thrown.
I can't wait to get another 1 or 4 of these so I have a stock of them. Though they are durable nothing saves a disc from the water hazards at my hometown course (5 of 18 holes) (Posted on 11/7/2014)

Well, I've had an 11x KC Pro Gazelle for years and I adore it. took it out of my bag because if it were to get lost, it would set me back huge amounts of sadness and more $$$$ than i'd wanna pay for a disc.

It's an extremely versatile disc. You can hyzer it, Turn it, or S it out. So, I was pretty excited when I saw these Gstar Gazelles, but, still a tad wary as my gstar experiences weren't on par with the hype. Out of the box, all gstar discs I've tested were wonderful. They feel great and flew exactly how I expected, then they broke in very quickly and started flying straighter and straighter. I am hoping this Gstar Gazelle will be an exception!! Took it out tonight and it was glorious!! Almost brought a tear to my eye :D.. It handled everything I asked of it, with just a smidge of over-stability.

The gstar Gazelle I purchased looks exactly like the listing image here on the factory store: orange and black. Weight is 175 and it feels beefier and more firm than all my other gstars (all max weight).

Lastly, I always find disc reviews to be a little askew, as you never know who's throwing the disc. I have been throwing since 2001 and can throw 400' on command but you'll never see me reviewing a putter 'cause my range is inside 10' :D.

Oh, and PLEEEAAASSSEEEE start production runs on champ Gazelles!!! I would love to get my hands on some opaque champ ones!!!

This disc is a beast! I'm a fairway disc fanatic and this one flies predictably straight. I don't recommend the chartreuse color due to blending in with vegetation :-) (Posted on 10/1/2014)

Bought three teal Gstar Gazelles. They were a little darker than I thought they would be, but oh well.

The Gstar plastic is naturally a little less stable than star or champion. If you torque this disc, you will turn it over. I don't have the biggest throwing arm, so I don't really have a problem with that.

Thrown with the tiniest bit of natural hyzer, this disc flies far and straight. The Gazelle also has a tendency to fade FORWARD rather than RIGHT, and that's one thing that makes this such a unique disc. The Gstar Gazelle also has more glide than other Gazelles I've tried. 9. Flippy! Review by frank

I wanted to try a Gazelle because according to Innova it has the same stability as the Teebird but a lower speed. My thought was this would not as quite as stable as Teebirds since it wouldn't take as much power.

However, I'm finding the Gstar plastic has the discs less stable than Star. The Gazelle was even more flippy than the Gstar Leo I also purchased.

I'm going to keep trying the Gazelle, it might fit in my bag for a flippy fairway driver but certainly not as a replacement for a Teebird.

FYI - My max distance is about 350' (Posted on 8/4/2014)
