  1. Sharky mid Review by Phil

The Shark lives in the shadow of its more famous stablemate, the Roc, which is unfair. It is a straight-flying disc with good accuracy, and more suitable for beginners than the Roc because it is less overstable. I bought several in different weights for practice discs.

My first Shark, a 150g DX, gets a lot of use as a loaner disc for beginner friends, who throw it into trees constantly. The flight characteristics have stayed shockingly stable after countless tree hits. The disc can no longer get by on its youthful good looks, but it has more than enough talent to stay relevant. This is a great disc for a beginner player. Offers a straight shot with a little bit of fade at the end. Would definitely recommend and it's at a great price too! (Posted on 9/4/2015)

My 8 year olds daughter loves her 150g DX Shark. She has a putter, but putts with this just as often. Because she's never going to over power it, this Shark can be used for any style throw. Backhand, forehand, roller, putting, tomahawks- she's thrown them all with this one disc. (Posted on 12/9/2013)

good stable disc, able to turn it over if you put enough on it but has a nice predictable fade and the end. Dx beats in a little fast if you hit them trees though. (Posted on 2/19/2013)

This is my third shark (I loan this one out to friends who want to try disc golf). It is a good starter disc. I still use this one a lot on short courses. (Posted on 2/13/2012)

  7. looking for a quick understable mid? Review by Jeff

Get the DX Shark if you need that understable flight pattern. All you have to do is play 10 rounds with it, and it will break the opposite of what it's supposed to do. Had two for over 6 years and they are perfect for understable flight shots (at slow speed throws). The Shark in general, is a great mid range. You want either a Shark, Roc, or Mako in your bag.
